How to remove .HTML from a url

For example you have a url called https://newstractor.com.ng/about.html and you want to remove the .html extension and leave it like this https://newstractor.com.ng/about How it works is this: When you link a url to a folder like www.newstractor.com.ng/folder_name/, by default, it will look for either an index.html or index.php file in the folder. If it is not found, it throws a 404 error. Therefore, What you just need to do is create a folder in your root directory and name it about then create an index.html file in it about folder. In that case, the www.newstractor.com.ng/about will point directly to the index.html file in the about folder in your root directory. Please if you find this helpful share it...
